When are the club meetings?
From September through June, NSPS holds a club meeting each Monday evening, except holiday Mondays and during the late December/early January holiday season.
Mostly, meetings are held 7:30 - 9:30 PM PT on Zoom. Some weeks, an in-person Print Night (at Silver Harbour Centre, in North Vancouver) is held on Monday night, 7:30 - 9:30 PM PT, in place of the Zoom meeting.
NSPS also holds in-person Field Trips throughout the year, on an irregular schedule.
View details of future meetings and activities in the Upcoming Events area of the NSPS homepage.

What happens at club meetings?
Timing
Whether on Zoom or in-person, most club meetings start at 7:30 PM PT. From 7:00 - 7:30 PM it's 'meet and greet' time. Meetings normally begin with a few announcements. An intermission/break happens mid-way through the meeting. Meetings usually conclude between 9:15 and 9:45 PM.
If you would like to attend a NSPS meeting as a guest, please complete and submit our guest registration form.
Digital Projection Night
Member images are projected one at a time. Images submitted for Star Level rating and scoring are announced by title, and the photographer's name is announced if the image achieves a Gold or Certificate of Merit rating. A Coach provides feedback on each image.
Images submitted for Feedback Only are announced by title and not the photographer. A Coach provides feedback on each image.
Print Night
Print Nights are in-person meetings, held at Silver Harbour Centre, in North Vancouver. Member prints are displayed one at a time. Prints submitted for Feedback Only are announced by title and not the photographer. A Coach provides feedback on each print. Prints submitted for Star Level rating and scoring are announced by title, and the photographer's name is announced if the print achieves a Gold of Certificate of Merit rating. A Coach provides feedback on each Star Level print.
Program Night
An educational presentation is delivered--often by a guest speaker--designed to inform and build photography-related skills. In December and June, the regular Program Night is replaced with a social meeting featuring special presentations by members.
Creative Corner Night
A slideshow is presented of member images, set to music, that reflect a particular theme. The theme changes every Creative Corner Night. A discussion of the images, and comments by the image-makers, follows the slideshow.
My Shooting Assignment Night
At the conclusion of selected Program Nights, NSPS members are given an opportunity to apply skills and knowledge gained from the presentation by completing My Shooting Assignment (MSA). MSA Night is a review and discussion of images created for the assignment, open to all members.
My Picture, Your Edit Night
A review and discussion by all club members, of editing/post-processing techniques and approaches used by members who have made improvement or creative alterations to anonymous candidate images.
Coaching Corner Night
Members help members by sharing some of their skills and knowledge. Selected members are asked to present and lead discussion. All members of the club--new and veterans--are encouraged to participate.
