Program Title: Looking upon the Landscape with New Perspective
Description:
Nic Stover is based in San Luis Obispo and focuses on landscape photography classes and workshops along with selling custom and limited edition prints for businesses and homes. Nic enjoys showcasing the dramatic coastal landscape and the amazing places that are unique to the Central Coast from sea caves to sand dunes.
This presentation focuses on the techniques used to capture the most commonly encountered nature and landscape scenes, what the vision was for the scene, and processing these images taking into account the variables that make each scene a little different from one another.
Through this presentation you will learn best practices of in field capture, ways to help you discover how you could look at these distinct areas differently, see some simple ways to discover new places, and have greater confidence to express yourself in new ways.
The last portion will be a demonstration of the power of the local adjustments’ vs the global adjustments and how can you align depth, texture, luminosity, sharpness, and focus on your processing and by using the tools in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw.

A limited number of non-member Guests may attend a Program Night (with a speaker presentation), following payment of the Guest Fee. If you wish to attend a Program Night, please complete the Guest Registration form, and e-Transfer $10 (non-member Guest Fee) to treasurer@nsps.ca no later than 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) on the day of Program Night. Please include your name and email address in the e-Transfer message, and use the following security answer/password: 'Program2022'.
