Program Title: The Charro and the Unexpected Rewards of Long Term Photography Projects
Description: The Charro, Mexican Cowboy, has a fascinating mythology that inspired JP throughout this 5 year project. He spent months, deep in Charro Country, getting to know the people, their traditions… and being taught some cool rope tricks. This talk isn’t just about Charros though, it’s also a look at the challenges and rewards that come with taking on a long term photography project like this. The presentation is a mix of narrative, behind the scenes footage, photo/process breakdowns, and a liberal sprinkling of photography philosophy.

Guests are welcome to attend two complimentary meetings on non-Program Nights. Please complete and submit the Guest Registration form, and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.
A limited number of non-member Guests may attend a Program Night (with a speaker presentation), following payment of the Guest Fee. If you wish to attend a Program Night, please complete the Guest Registration form, and e-Transfer $10 (non-member Guest Fee) to treasurer@nsps.ca no later than 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) on the day of Program Night. Please include your name and email address in the e-Transfer message.
