Program Title: How To Be An Artist With Your Camera

Description: A talk on the artistic side of photography, with an introduction to the visual language of photography to capture expressive and artistic images. The main aim of the talk is to encourage people to try out various approaches to image-making and help them develop their own way of photographing.

Eva Polak is a New Zealand photographer, artist, author and teacher, well known for her enthusiasm and passion for impressionist photography. She is the author of three books: Impressionist Photography Techniques – A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Great Images by Using Your Digital Camera; Transcended Light; and The Secret Life of Dandelions, outlining ways to use your camera for a painterly effect.

Admission is free for Members

Guests are welcome to attend two complimentary meetings on non-Program Nights. Please complete and submit the Guest Registration form, and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.

A limited number of non-member Guests may attend a Program Night (with a speaker presentation), following payment of the Guest Fee. If you wish to attend a Program Night, please complete the Guest Registration form, and e-Transfer $10 (non-member Guest Fee) to treasurer@nsps.ca no later than 3:00 PM (Pacific Time) on the day of Program Night. Please include your name and email address in the e-Transfer message, and use the following security answer/password: 'Program2022'.
