Description: Shane Gross, professional marine conservation photojournalist and overall winner of the 2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year, shares how he harnesses the power of photography for conservation impact. From his beginnings in southern Saskatchewan to a decade in The Bahamas and now on Vancouver Island, Shane will take us beneath the waves to explore photography, storytelling, ethics, post-processing, and building a career in conservation photography. With stories of both successes and failures in the field, Shane will reveal how images can protect wild places, reach new audiences, and drive real change.
