Description: Internationally recognized documentary photographer Dr. Larry Louie will share his powerful humanitarian work from Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Philippines, capturing the resilience of communities facing immense challenges. He will also present a preview of his latest project —environmental portraits of people in Edmonton, each with a compelling human story.
Dr. Larry Louie is a Canadian optometrist and award-winning documentary photographer whose work highlights pressing social issues in a rapidly changing world. His images, exhibited internationally from London to Madrid to across Canada, blend artistry with advocacy —bringing attention to the struggles of marginalized communities and the efforts of those who support them. Through his lens, Larry seeks to inspire awareness, compassion, and change.
