BC/Yukon Inter-Club Speaker Series: George Barr

May 14, 2021 @ 7:00 pm

Tonight's presenter is: George Barr

Topic: Why Photographs Work

Description: George wrote his book Why Photographs Work "as there were not many books available on why photographs work from a practical rather than theoretical or philosophical point of view." Like his book, George will speak about photography as art and what makes a great photograph. This talk will appeal to "those who want to understand why some photographs stand out from others and any photographer who wants to make beautiful images."

The BC/Yukon Inter-Club Speaker Series is available only to members of participating photography clubs in British Columbia and the Yukon. Admission is free to members of the North Shore Photographic Society.

Pre-registration is required, to receive the link for the Zoom meeting. To register, please click here.

The organizers of the BC/Yukon Inter-Club Speaker Series gratefully acknowledge the Canadian Association for Photographic Art, Pacific Zone’s contribution to this Series.
