39th Annual North Shore Photographic Challenge
Hosted by the North Shore Photographic Society
Proudly presented by: BEAU PHOTO
COMPETITION DETAILS
The 2023 North Shore Photographic Challenge is an open theme competition with two categories:
a) entries submitted by photography/camera clubs, and
b) entries submitted by individual photographers.
Any open-membership photo club in British Columbia and the Yukon may enter the competition in the club category. Any photographer residing in BC or the Yukon, or who is a member in good standing of a BC or Yukon photo club, may enter in the Individual category. The deadline for image submissions from clubs and individuals is Midnight, February 11, 2023.
Images must not have been entered in a previous North Shore Photographic Challenge competition. While image-makers may choose any subject matter, images with "disturbing, or explicit adult content" may be disqualified.
By entering the North Shore Challenge competition, the photographer gives The North Shore Photographic Society permission to duplicate, post online, and use their entry image(s) to advertise and promote future North Shore Photographic Challenge events.
Competition judging will occur prior to March 4, 2023, to minimize delays during the event. Entries from clubs and individuals will be randomly mixed in the competition.
All photographers and clubs will receive a score for each image they enter. However, due to time constraints we cannot guarantee that every photographer's image in the Individual category will be shown during the Challenge event on March 4, 2023. If the number of images in the final round of competition judging exceeds the time available, the lowest-scoring images among Individual entries will not appear in the show.
CLUBS
BC/Yukon clubs wishing to enter the competition are asked to contact the Challenge Coordinator to obtain a Competition Package by emailing: challenge@nsps.ca

The deadline for participating clubs to submit entries is Midnight, February 11, 2023.
INDIVIDUALS
Individual BC/Yukon photographers may enter one to three (1-3) images of their own work. In Round 1, these will be scored by an independent panel of judges. The top-scoring image from each photographer in Round 1 will advance for scoring by a second independent panel of judges in the North Shore Photographic Challenge.
To be accepted for competition, images submitted must be:
