DESCRIPTION:Tonight's presenter: Larry Louie \nTopic: The Voice of My Camera -- A Retrospective \nDescription: Internationally recognized documentary photographer Dr. Larry Louie will share his powerful humanitarian work from Bangladesh\, Nepal\, and the Philippines\, capturing the resilience of communities facing immense challenges. He will also present a preview of his latest project —environmental portraits of people in Edmonton\, each with a compelling human story. \nDr. Larry Louie is a Canadian optometrist and award-winning documentary photographer whose work highlights pressing social issues in a rapidly changing world. His images\, exhibited internationally from London to Madrid to across Canada\, blend artistry with advocacy —bringing attention to the struggles of marginalized communities and the efforts of those who support them. Through his lens\, Larry seeks to inspire awareness\, compassion\, and change. \n-------------------- \nThe BC/Yukon Inter-Club Speaker Series is available only to members of participating photography clubs in British Columbia and the Yukon. Admission is free to members of the North Shore Photographic Society. The link and passcode are emailed no later than Noon on the meeting day. \n6:50 - 7:00 PM: Members 'meet and greet' online in the meeting room\n7:00 - 7:30 PM: NSPS Annual General Meeting\n7:30 PM: Creative Corner \nAnnual General Meeting: Tonight's meeting will begin with the 2026 NSPS AGM. Details of the AGM are emailed to members in advance. \nNSPS Creative Corner is a themed slideshow of members' images set to music\, followed by comments from the image-makers. Tonight's theme: Architecture. \n\nAdmission is free for Members \n\n\nGuests are welcome to attend two complimentary meetings on non-Program Nights. Please complete and submit the Guest Registration form\, and we'll get back to you within 48 hours. \nA limited number of non-member Guests may attend a Program Night (with a speaker presentation)\, following payment of the Guest Fee.
